FoodTech 2020 enjoys good endorsement
After having decided to carry through FoodTech the organisers are busily confirming contracts with companies booking stands.
The team behind FoodTech is busily confirming the many contracts with companies wanting stands at the coming FoodTech taking place on 29th September – 1st October. Safety for exhibitors as well as visitors with be guaranteed and 100% in accordance with official guidelines. Consequently, the main layout of FoodTech will be identical to previous exhibitions, with the exception that the dairy exhibition of the International Food Contest has been cancelled.
- We are sad to miss out on the dairy products, but it just was not viable in the current situation. We are therefore very happy with the solid endorsement from exhibitors of machinery and equipment for the dairy industry - just without the cheese, says Mr John Jensen, who on the other hand is pleased that the non-dairy side of the International Food Contest is expected to be carried out with its assessments of plant-based foods, wine & spirits, beer etc.

Why should the dairy employees visit your stand?
We know that our customers will be just as eager as we are to start up discussing new developments, projects or efficiency programs. So we will look forward to the opportunity to start up those discussions at Food Tech 2020. Chr. Hansen has chosen to be at FoodTech 2020 to demonstrate our commitment and desire to be seen as the leading specialty supplier to the dairy industry.
What will you make different due to Covid-19?
The FoodTech exhibition will be different from past events, and our ability to show new ingredients in concept samples is likely to be limited. However, we will have a similar size stand as previously and are determined to attract your attention with a particular focus on ‘equipment in action’ – our range of testing equipment supporting across many parts of the dairy production system.
What are your expectations to this year’s FoodTech?
We expect that our customers will also be very keen to get away from ‘day to day’ life in the dairies or the product development laboratories and meet up with their dairy colleagues again. FoodTech has been a longstanding and traditional event in the Danish dairy industry. It is an important point in the year where we gather, re-connect and look for ideas and inspiration for the coming period. FoodTech 2020 is not different in that way and we believe that with suitable planning, and importantly attention to the safety of everyone involved, we can use this as a very positive way to look forward to 2021.
